A prisoner died in police custody in Sitamarhi district of Bihar. The incident took place in Bhittha Mod police station of Sitamarhi district. Where after eating food on Wednesday, his condition started deteriorating and the situation became serious. After this the police admitted him to the local PHC for treatment. Where the doctors declared him dead during treatment. There is sensation in the area after the incident. Police from many police stations and a crowd of family members have gathered in the hospital.
On receiving information about the incident, DSP Atanu Kumar Dutta along with Sursand police station in-charge reached the spot along with a large number of police forces. Where he calmed down the anger. The deceased has been identified as Arun Kapar, resident of Yadupatti ward number one of Choraut police station area. According to the information, Arun Kapar was arrested with liquor during patrolling on Shrikhandi Bhittha night bridge NH 227 of Choraut police station area. At the same time, before sending him to jail on Wednesday, mother Sona Devi and uncle Sanjeev Kapar had come to Sursand police station with food from the deceased’s house.
Seeing the situation worsening while eating food in police custody, the family along with Bhittha police station incharge Ravikant Kumar, Sursand police station incharge Dhananjay Kumar Pandey, Circle Inspector S Arshad Numan took them to the community health center. Where medical in-charge officer Dr. RK Singh and Dr. Rakesh Kumar Chaudhary declared Arun dead. After that the family members started crying loudly. Within no time a crowd of people started gathering in the hospital.
Regarding this matter, SP Manoj Kumar Tiwari said that Arun has gone to jail several times for copper smuggling. Also he has some internal disease. Arun Kapar ate the same food eaten by his uncle. After this, when his health deteriorated, we admitted him to the Community Health Center for treatment. Doctors declared him dead during treatment.
